I saw Dr. Cherry who was very thorough and friendly. He explained my test results in easily understood terms. The staff was very helpful.
While Dr. Pass did a thorough exam, I was a underwhelmed by the selection - nothing decent in the low cost range. In addition, they wanted to do a retinal imaging without telling me it was optional and not covered by my insurance. When I told them I didn't want any optional items, I was looked at like I was inconveniencing them. After my exam, I asked for a copy of the prescription to take to another location for my frames and lenses. The lab I went to said the lenses would have to be special ordered, taking about 2 weeks to be done and cost more. They suggested I go back and talk to the doctor about it. When I arrived, I was brushed off by the front desk saying it was correct and wouldn't let me speak to the doctor about it, even though the office was slow at that time. I went to a different optometrist for a second opinion. When he looked at the original prescription, he said it appeared to be doctored so only their lab could cut the lenses. I was able to get an accurate prescription andmy new glasses the same day without special ordering. I will now go an hour up to Odessa for a quality exam with no hidden costs or optional exams and a better frame selection.

Dr. Joshua Pass is one of the treasures of rural West Texas. The professionalism and care he provides is be equal to or better than what any large city has to offer. His exams are very thorough, and he takes his time answering any questions/concerns; always in a kind and compassionate way. I will continue to drive the 5 hours round trip for eye care I trust.
after coming to here for glasses last week I thought I would bring my husband as we are working in the area. we were there almost 3 there almost 3 hours!!! ggrrrrr!!!
