Part of this rest area is closed for construction and signs are not helpful at night where to go. Not sure how long closures will last, but the Google map shows this as being just a picnic area, and there is a large new rest area structure going up. Even with the closers there is still truck/ RV parking.
But, it's nice to have a restroom to stop at. The rest stop serves a good purpose and I am thankful for that.
Restrooms do not have a completely enclosed roof. It's hot in Texas. The sun beats down on the toilet area. Then there are the flies...
This place is a great little rest stop, very clean, has dump and water. Also are for animals. We stop everytime.
Easy to spot from the road, clean, picnic tables, and pet friendly (place for Poochy to find relief).
So happy to find an RV dump station here...just in time too.
